Privacy Policy
StraXit uses your data to run the app features you choose: training plans, workout logs, run tracking, nutrition estimates, meal photo analysis, PhysiqScan, Apple Health and Apple Watch sync, data export, and account deletion.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use Apple Health data, workout data, nutrition data, photos, or location data for advertising or tracking across other apps and websites.
Data We Collect
- Account data: email address, account ID, display name, and sign-in state.
- Profile and goal data: age, height, weight, target weight, goals, and onboarding answers.
- Fitness data: workouts, sets, reps, run distance, pace, route, active energy, heart rate, steps, personal records, and Apple Health data you permit.
- Nutrition data: meal names, calories, macros, nutrition goals, and meal photos you choose to scan.
- Body progress data: weight entries, PhysiqScan results, and progress photos you choose to upload.
- Wellness data: sleep, mood, readiness, energy, and check-ins if you log them.
- AI request data: prompts, scan images, and fitness context needed to generate plans, coaching, nutrition estimates, and body analysis.
How We Use Data
- Provide app functionality, including login, profile setup, workouts, nutrition logging, run tracking, watch sync, reminders, and data controls.
- Personalize plans, coaching, and insights based on the goals and logs you provide.
- Process AI features through Supabase Edge Functions and AI providers only when you request those features.
- Write completed workouts to Apple Health only after you grant permission.
- Export or delete your account data when you request it.
HealthKit And Apple Watch
Apple Health data is sensitive. StraXit requests permission only for health and fitness features, and iOS lets you approve or deny each Health data type. If you deny access, StraXit will continue to work with reduced wearable metrics.
StraXit does not sell HealthKit data, use it for advertising, or share it with non-health or non-fitness third parties.
Location
StraXit uses location only during run tracking to calculate route, distance, and pace. If background location is enabled, it is used so a run can continue when the screen locks or the app goes to the background.
Photos And Camera
StraXit accesses the camera or photo library only when you choose to scan a meal, scan a barcode, or upload progress photos. Meal and body images may be processed by Supabase and AI providers to return the requested analysis.
Optional Product Analytics
If you enable Product Analytics in Privacy & Data, PostHog receives a pseudonymous installation ID, app version, screens you view, and high-level feature actions. It does not receive your account ID, HealthKit metrics, workout or nutrition details, photos, routes, precise location, or message content.
Product Analytics is off by default. You can turn it on or off at any time in Privacy & Data. No analytics events are sent to PostHog until you enable it.
Crash And Performance Diagnostics
StraXit uses Sentry to detect crashes, app errors, and performance problems. When a technical problem occurs, Sentry may receive stack traces, app version, device and operating-system information, performance timings, network request URLs and query strings, and an IP address inferred from the network request.
StraXit does not intentionally attach your account name or email, HealthKit values, workout or nutrition records, photos, precise routes, or AI message content to Sentry events. Sentry diagnostics are used only to investigate and improve app reliability, not for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Third-Party Processors
- Supabase provides authentication, database, storage, and Edge Functions.
- Anthropic processes AI requests for workout, coaching, nutrition, meal scan, and PhysiqScan features.
- Apple Health and Apple Watch provide health and workout data only with your permission.
- PostHog processes the optional product analytics described above only when you enable them.
- Sentry processes crash, error, and performance diagnostics to help StraXit identify and fix technical problems.
Retention And Deletion
StraXit keeps your account data while your account is active. You can export your data or delete your account from Privacy & Data. Deletion removes your StraXit account data and stored PhysiqScan photos from Supabase. Apple Health data already written to Apple Health can be managed in the Apple Health app. Sentry retains diagnostic data according to StraXit's project retention settings and its data-processing agreement; contact support for questions or data-rights requests involving diagnostics.
Your Choices
- Use iOS Settings or Apple Health to change camera, photo, location, notification, and Health permissions.
- Use Privacy & Data in StraXit to turn optional Product Analytics on or off.
- Use Privacy & Data in StraXit to export your data or delete your account.
